Vietnam is on the move with a GDP rate of 6.7% and a per capita growth by 2020 of 52%. The Vietnamese government and business community is now strategizing to upgrade the country’s information technology (IT) infrastructure while seeking IT exports, strategic partnerships, JV’s and licensing agreements with leading IT innovators. IT growth in Vietnam is projected to grow at an annual rate of 11% from 2016-2019.
On October 19, 2016, at the Sanctuary Exploration Center in Santa Cruz, eleven leading Vietnamese IT companies will be stating their mission and objectives in a meeting/luncheon with innovative and cutting edge IT companies that are headquartered in the Monterey Bay. Vietnam currently imports most of its IT hardware and software from the U.S. and other countries to support their fledgling IT business community because they are not currently able to offer the range of solutions and services that their growing economy demands.
America’s advanced state-of-the-art IT technology and customer support services position U.S. suppliers with significant opportunities to market and export their products, technology and services to several market segments in Vietnam.
Healthcare, transportation, environment monitoring, cyber-security, broadcasting, telecommunications, education, electricity, waste and wastewater management and agro-technology are just some of the industry sectors where Vietnam needs immediate support.
We welcome these Vietnamese companies to this invitation-only event to meet our IT companies, especially with our start-ups and smaller companies, who sometimes have an easier time to introduce their products and services into a developing marketplace that has less market entry barriers than do traditional markets.
